Day 14: Sound

It travels. It reverberates off the walls. It creates a melody without us truly noticing. White noise. Music. The humm of traffic. The clicking of the keys on a computer. Podcasts. Audio Books. Movies. Someone walking. Rain falling…

Yes all of this creates something around us and I wonder how are you adding to the noise? Will you listen to the echo of your life? It has purpose and meaning behind every movement you make, you make a song with the symphony of your days. So how do you want others to hear your song?

We each are creating a sound and so I wonder what the world hears from our instruments of life. When they dial in do they hear the song of anger, frustration, hate? Or is it one of joy, thanksgiving and love?

Again I’ll ask what sound is reverberating from your life that adds to the symphony of praise? I hope it is one of beautiful lament, of joy, of triumph, of truth, of declaration, of hope.

Then he broke through and transformed all my wailing
into a whirling dance of ecstatic praise!
He has torn the veil and lifted from me
the sad heaviness of mourning.
He wrapped me in the glory garments of gladness.

How could I be silent when it’s time to praise you?
Now my heart sings out loud, bursting with joy—
a bliss inside that keeps me singing,
“I can never thank you enough!”

-Psalm 30:11-12
